A clearer idea
before your manicure.
Nail Shape Finder helps you name an outline, compare a practical length and explain what you want.
What we make
We publish original shape illustrations, a free preference quiz, a local photo sketch and guides with linked sources. The optional $9 salon card organizes your choices into an appointment brief with visual comparisons, color directions and editable notes.
How a suggestion is chosen
The quiz uses explicit design rules. Short length, hands-on work and lower upkeep give more weight to compact shapes. Your preferred outline and visual goal choose between curved, flatter or tapered options. When a practical constraint conflicts with requested length, the result explains the shorter starting point.
Your answers do not measure your hands, diagnose a color season, assess nail health or produce a technician review. The choices are suggestions you can discuss and change. We make no claim of a perfect match or guaranteed manicure outcome.
Original drawings, published sources
The silhouettes and color chips are our own illustrations. Our guides link to sources such as OPI and Essie for common shape terminology and the American Academy of Dermatology and FDA for narrow product-care context. These organizations do not endorse or review this service.
A photo tool that stays local
The sketch tool draws transparent shapes in your browser. You position them yourself. It does not upload or analyze the photo and does not create a realistic replacement for the nails in the image.
